Planned Cultural Program for 2010


February:  Presentation by Tom Roach, local immigration attorney who has been practicing law in the Tri-Cities for 25+ years.  Mr. Roach will offer a very informative talk entitled, "12 Million illegal aliens. How did we get to where we are AND where do we go from here?"  Questions & answers will be taken following his program.  Remember...Sons of Norway was originally concieved and created by immigrants of Scandinavian descent.  What can we learn regarding the current immigration landscape?  Come hear Attorney Roach's engaging and thought provoking presentation.  
 
March: Screening of  the  film "Crown Princess Martha...the American Story."  This 52 minute documentary by Steinar Hybertsen, chronicles the life of this extaordinary woman who was born a Swedish Princess and married the Crown Prince of Norway prior to WWII.  She and her family were forced to flee Norway when German forces occupied the country during the war.  Where did they go?  And what did they do to promote the ultimate cause of liberation for Norway?  Join us for this very informative and inspiring biography in film of Crown Princess Martha.
